Isaac
In 2016 and in his sixties, Isaac began feeling unusually tired after any activity and even after just waking up. When the tiredness got worse, he decided to seek medical treatment.
For months, he bounced around to several hospitals throughout Kenya. He eventually was referred to Nairobi, but after two months of treatment, he had accumulated a bill of 100,000 Kenyan schillings. Looking for a more affordable option, his family brought him to Moi Teaching Referral Hospital (MTRH).
Isaac received care for his heart condition from AMPATH collaborators in the MTRH Cardiac Care Unit. He’s now optimistic about his health and shares, “It’s marvelous. They took me as if they knew me. I was very happy.”
