Start a project
STEP 1: REVIEW OUR POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
All AMPATH research projects are conducted by researchers at AMPATH Consortium and Partner schools. All new projects go through a development and approval process prior to submission to an external sponsor or implementation.
If you’re a Consortium member or partner submitting a proposal:
Review the Policies and Procedures for project development
Contact the AMPATH Research Program Office (research.manager@ampath.or.ke) with questions
If you’re a trainee:
Review our Trainee Policies before engaging in research
STEP 2: SUBMIT A PROPOSAL
If you’re ready to submit a new study proposal for review, please complete the following process.
Complete the New Study Information Form
Submit the New Study Information Form to the AMPATH Research Program Office at least 6 weeks before the submission deadline
STEP 3: PROPOSAL REVIEW AND FEEDBACK
Once submitted, your proposal goes through a review, feedback, and approval phase.
Routed to working groups and cores within 3 business days of submission
Working groups and cores review for 4-6 weeks and provide feedback
Upon approval, proposals are submitted for approval by Moi University’s Institutional Review and Ethics Committee (IREC)
Additional approvals may be required by partner institutional review boards
