AMPATH residents may participate in a 2-month elective experience in Kenya. All IU residents are required to participate in the full 2-month experience. Other AMPATH consortium partners may elect to send their residents for less than the full 2-month experience but each consortium institution is responsible for filling their assigned slot unless notification to the Program Manager is provided. Residents are required to apply for the Temporary Kenya medical license. Requirements for obtaining the license are outlined in the SOP Resident Medical Licensure document.
