Dr. Sonak Pastakia is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Purdue University College of Pharmacy in West Lafayette, Indiana, as well as Adjunct Assistant Professor at Indiana University School of Medicine. He holds various professional degrees including a PharmD from Temple University School of Pharmacy and a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard. Within the AMPATH program, Dr. Pastakia serves many key roles including co‐chair of the Pharmacy Working Group, collaborator with the Chronic Disease Management program, Principal Investigator on a nationwide counterfeit detection program, and as a board member for an Eldoret street children's drop‐in center. Currently he is using his expertise as a public health pharmacist to work full-time in Eldoret, Kenya, in order to better serve the needs of the underserved populations throughout western Kenya. He lives in Eldoret with his wife Rakhi and daughter Amaya.
